Work is now required in developing the ability to control the breathing through combination movements. All other movements remain unchanged from the previous grading except that a marked improvement in the basic techniques and fundamentals should be demonstrated. The four major Kicking techniques are now looked at in closer detail. One must ensure that the knee of the kicking leg is raised high in preparation for the kick, then following the execution, it is sharply retracted to the chambered position before driving the body forward into the appropriate stance. Fatigue is no excuse for sloppy techniques.
